Terms and conditions

1. General Conduct

I will be polite, tidy and behave in a professional manner. The training vehicle is dual-controlled. This will be clean and well maintained, taxed and insured, for your use.

2. Qualifications

I am legally authorised to give driving tuition by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

3. Driving license, eye sight and health conditions

You must have a valid license - either provisional or full to drive. I will require this on the day of or before the first lesson. You must be able to read a number plate at a distance of 20.5m (67ft). Please inform me of any health issues or medication that may affect your ability to drive.

Safety

This is a shared responsibility between us. Please wear sensible shoes. If during the lesson you feel unwell or need a rest, please inform me as it may affect your driving. In an emergency I may need to take control. If so, when it is safe I will advise of my actions. I reserve the right to cancel/terminate a lesson if you are unable to drive safely for various reasons i.e. tiredness or illness however payment may still be charged. Please inform me on any medication you are taking that may affect your driving. 

Driving under the influence

If I suspect that you are driving under the influence drink of drugs I reserve the right to cancel the lesson. Full paymeny will be charged.

Lesson postponement

Lessons are to be weekly unless agreed by both parties. I require 24 hours notice of any lesson booked - to be cancelled. If I cannot fill the gap, full payment will be charged. I reserve the right to cancel any lesson for weather, traffic/road conditions, illness or breakdown of vehicle. I cannot be held responsible for any cost incurred by my actions for whatever reason. Lesson times to be agreed. I will wait 15 minutes for any lesson and if the pupil does not turn up, full payment will be charged. Any weekend/premium lesson cancelled, full payment TBC.

Driving Tests

Any driving test will take priority over any lesson. This may effect your lesson from taking place. Test appointments must be agreed with me, otherwise I cannot guarantee the vehicle use for the test. I reserve the right to withhold the vehicle for the test if I believe it to be dangerous or not to test standard. The vehicle is not for hire for the driving test, only to by used by pupils/me going to test.

Payments 

Lessons must be prepaid before the lesson takes place. If paying in cash - at the time of the lesson. Any block booking hours not used will be refunded. If for any reason a break in lesson is taken, I may not be able to hold the slot for you. You may go back onto the waiting list.

Data

All info will be destroyed after passing the practical test. Any photos taken/used will be agreed by both parties.
